Pass-crack Setup Tools

I'm considering a plan to set myself with the necessary tools so I could offer a service to unlock windows-based laptops for which the password(s) have been, er, well, 'forgotten' (ahem...).


I've nailed a few passwords in the past using 0phcrack but in all cases I've had the appropriate regkey piece. Since that's not always available, I'm thinking I might need to invest in an external USB device of some sort. If I could devise the proper pass-crack payload, the USB Rubber Ducky might fit the bill.


Any feedback or advice from the BHW braintrust on this? Thx.

It will depend on what you are using..or what tool you are using..??
I know how to crack or bypass every Linux window password...without even cracking or with crack using brute force as well..

That's a great idea for a service, essentially resetting or "blanking" the administrator password can be done by writing to the admin account registry hive and just blanking it, allowing you to get pass without a password. Problem is getting the remote CPU online if it's locked, you could provide a file or program the user's can DL from a working PC/Laptop to a USB thumbdrive to be booted from on the 'locked' workstation. That script could then contact your servers, wipe the password and set it to a secret password, once the process is complete, user's pay you for the "secret" password to enter their 'unlocked' device.
