Hello all, I have ( well had ) multiple accounts, with one being from 2007, with over 600 feedback, and power seller with 100% rating, and never a dispute. I also had 4 other accounts, with the oldest being about a year old with ebay store, and the others fairly new. They all are linked together in one way or the other.

I kept pushing my luck across the new accounts trying to get rid of some items I bought to resale that ebay didn't allow. I didn't know this until i had done bought them and started selling them. Anyways after getting a couple small restrictions I opened a new account and they came down hard with life time ban on all of the newer accounts but let me keep my old account.

I spoke with them about 3 different times trying to get my banned accounts back, and the reps all ways mentioned my good account and advised me to just use it and continue to keep it in good standing, and I could continue to use ebay. One rep said it was established account in excellent shape, and that's why they let me keep it.

However I'm little nervous thinking they going to ban it at anytime. I log in from the banned IP address also and it runs just fine. The old account is from a different IP address from years back when I had a different ISP, but my paypal I use has them all linked together.

I was thinking of making some new accounts with all new information and change my last name to my maiden name. Should I start working on a new account, and would changing my last name and use all new information work ?

Hmm. I remember reading a thread about this. There's a solution on how you can bypass eBay's algorithm and I can't remember who posted it. Anyway, goodluck though. I sugggest not using the same accounts (e.g. bank accounts, names, addresses, etc.) as they will eventually find out. I have an ebook that I sell on how to do this, but I don't want you to buy it as I got it from here. :p

I was selling some hand crafted items that was part of a certain group and culture and people was reporting them as violent and offensive material. I kept relisting them trying to get rid of the remaining and ebay came down with the ban hammer. Pretty lame actually.

It won't be an issue in the beginning, at least. I would just start a new paypal, just to be safe. If you're going to go stealth you need to go full stealth, not half way.

Simple solution, but an established aged ebay account with feedback and an associated PayPal account. Use a proxy for the account, keep on selling, then transfer the payments out.
    Hey presto.

Thanks for the reply. I had in mind of using different last name that I actually have which is my maiden name. Everything right now is in my real name. So I was going to make a new account in my real name but the last name will be in my maiden name since now married. I have never used anything in my maiden name. Right now I have a new account with paypal that has never been used, but its in my name that just got banned on ebay and has the address also that I used with ebay. My paypal account that I have used since 2007 has all ways been top notch. Never had a single issue with paypal or ebay until this. So if i make a new ebay in my maddien name, should I also make a new paypal in my maddien name, or could I used the new account that I mention that has never been used but has my address that I was using with ebay ?

thanks for the reply. Dont fully understand what you saying. Did you mean to say buy an account ? Also is a proxy something I can buy or is that like wireless ? I'm a newbie when it comes to all the tech stuff, so sorry for the misunderstanding. Trying to get everything in order is little confusing to me cause i want to make sure i have everything right.

I've gone through several accounts since 2000. All use the same address with only one letter changed in the last name or a different first name. All use the same PayPal. My only problems with eBay are failure to pay my fees, not copyright or customer related. It's very obvious my accounts are related. I don't know why so many people have problems and I don't.

All I can tell people using blackhat or trying to stay under the radar is to block Flash with something like "Better Privacy" extension. EBay uses flash cookies on the login page and maybe that is one reason they track people on this forum.

This may be a problem. Matching addresses are known cause of immediate bans. You need to get a new address, move the paypal to the new address, and then link it to the eBay. I would do this over a few months, just to be safe. Actually if I were you, I would jsut start a new stealth paypal account, because if they mark your account as a known evader of eBay bans, they'll most likely put a hard ban on you and close all your linked accounts. And next time, please, please, please don't do anything dumb like keep doing what you are doing when eBay is flashing red signs at you that you'll be banned if you keep doing it.

Interesting that you used the same paypal on them all. Thats what has linked all my accounts together and they banned them all besides my oldest account. I feel it will be next even though they said it was okay to use it. I'm going to use a different paypal on my next one even though I hate too start over with a new one. I have had this one I use now since 2007 and its been perfect shape. No issues at all. Should my new paypal have the same name as my new ebay account and have a different address also like my new ebay ? Thats the question I'm confused on the most. I all ways use paypal to pay my fees so i'm wondering should everything match on both ends ?

Hi..thanks for the reply. I was asking question about this as you posting... Confused on what you first said about the matching addresses. Do you mean matching address of say a banned address with a new paypal ? I dont guess you mean all new addresses do you ? When you say move the paypal to the new address, do you mean the one I'm currently using, or the new paypal that I mention that has never been linked to ebay ? Also I will not be pressing my luck with ebay no more. This has really stressed me out and caused me a big headache and its all my fault. thanks again.

In order to be safe, EVERYTHING must be different between each account. EVERYTHING. Even if eBay does not outright ban linked accounts, they will do subtle things that will cause you grief in the long run, like never giving selling limit increases.

Okay thank you. My new paypal account, thats never been used that is registered in my address and name that I'm using now, would it hurt if I changed the address on it to another one and switched my last name on the account before using it with ebay ? Could they some how see that the account was originally registered in a slightly different and name and address. Again this account has never been used.

eBay & Paypal records everything forever. They have login records of every single login from day 1 of eBay and paypal's existence stored somewhere. I repeat again. EVERYTHING MUST BE NEW to be totally safe. Don't assume anything. Just spend a little more effort to totally separate accounts rather than you having this problem again a year from now.
