After reading tommys method, and doing further research into case study's & initial journeys posted here, I wanted to give this a go.
Both to prove profitability, but also to build a large, scalable network of parasites over the coming 12 months.

My Background

I run a limited company here in the UK offering internet marketing solutions to small and medium sized businesses across the UK. I left school at 16 and almost 9 years later I have experience in website flipping, affiliate marketing, PPC & seo services. I hope some of these skills will stand me in good stead as I progress.
--------------------------------

I'm going to be focused on both the betting, and the sports/fitness industry as I have experience in both these niches. Below is a quick summary of what tools I have at my disposal and how I'll be tackling this journey.

  • I have a VPS at my disposal along with the likes of GSA, Scrapebox & XRumer

  • I'm subscribed to services including; SERPWoo, SERPBook, AHREFS, and Majestic

  • Social signals I will be outsourcing in full and I would be more than happy to receive service recommendations.

  • For the highest quality links. I will be using 2 or 3 packages available here at BHW and I will out these providers as time goes by.

  • In relation to content, my existing team will be generating this.

I've created this thread to both prove the method, make a (somewhat) sustainable, and most definitely scalable side business. I will be pushing both clickbank and other selected affiliate products, exclusively.

Providing I see even minor signals in the opening 3 months, I will commit to this journey for a period of 12 months. Hopefully this thread will serve to keep me motivated. I'm going to try and start at high volume whilst not sacrificing results.

Wish me luck, all feedback, encouragement and constructive criticism is welcomed.

Start Date: 6th March 2016

Awesome stuff! I plan to start parasites soon, will follow this.
Are you going to use comon parasites or you found some unsatured ones?

After reading this,I really need to understand what is parasite works so that I can start it.

Cool. Trying out the same thang

The method still works, been doing it for some time now.

Good luck.

Came here hoping for a 12 month case study ... Started March 6, 2016 ... disappointing, but definitely subscribing.

Thank you I am subscribing.

Which parasites are you using?

Initially, I won't out my parasites but as stated I am using the SERPWoo method (I may give a few away at semi-regular intervals!). With a little effort anybody can mirror my results for their niche. I would suggest sorting by a minimum volume and competition strength, then look to find which sites listed are potential parasites. If anybody else wants to elaborate on this, they are welcome to add to this thread.

First Update

I have spent the evening identifying potential parasites via SERPWoo (with a small twist) - and I have come up with a list of six strong properties which I do not believe have been overly abused for this method, and that are relevant to the industries which I'm going to attack first.

In the process, I've also compiled a keyword list of long tails which I do not believe are going to require the heaven and earth to rank respectively in SERPS. I haven't included anything below 1,000 exact match searches, and I'm filtered anything higher than 50 in terms of competition (as judged by SERPWoo).

Question to any experienced parasite enthusiasts, what's the minimum quality in terms of PA/DA/Authority that you would consider when filtering out suitable parasite candidates? Feel free to add me on Skype if you're willing and fancy discussing.... handle; xrumergeek.com

Tomorrow I shall identify a couple of Clickbank products which I think would fit my list, in addition to
registering a handful of domains to get me started. Depending on time constraints, I may also look to have my VA write up a few articles- which I think I am going to compare against the standard of reallife's articles.

Update 9th March (Day 4)

Small update. I've registered a handful of domains and I've managed to get my first article live for the last 3 days so I'll now begin my aggressive link build. I'm also in talks with several other content providers as I'm not convinced the quality from my VA's will be condusive for best results.

I'd love to get a handful of people on Skype who are utilising parasites in 2016. Drop me a PM if you're interested in bouncing ideas around.

i followed t0mmys method also, about 6 months ago.

It says blast it with gsa etc.... I had 3 go down and 1 stay. Without link building it was page 2, smashed with semi quality pbn posts ($1.5 stuff) and it dropped to page3/4!

Its a tricky game, i also tested sape on a few and they died also!

While saying that, i tested the medusa service ( which is like a clean sape, so it says) and it jumped to page 1 then off n on etc. I kinda gave up but will be following!

Best of luck!

I've just started doing this with expired Tumblr, BlogSpot and soon OverBlog's.

The way I'm doing it is to take it slow and cautious. I'll find the highest PA/MozRank parasite site. Start by logging in manually and making a couple of posts over a couple of weeks to get a solid base. Then slowly dropping a link out here and there, mostly to authority sites. Then a couple of social signals. Then receive links from a couple of lesser Web 2.0's, Penzu or Newsvine and build it up exponentially from there, maybe a couple of months out I'll make a 'viral' post and do a little blasting.

My theory is if I'm going to spend the time to scrape and register these sites I want to keep them. So I treat as best as I can, then they can be used for future projects.

Thanks for the post, I've also been registering expired tumblrs, will take a look at the other two you mentioned. I'm yet to make use of them with manual changes but I'll keep your timing in my head.

Are you seeing positive change just yet?

I haven't sent any links to my sites yet. That's why I'm watching your thread. Again this is theory but it makes sense. Google's algorithm is smart enough to know the relevancy of a subdomain, so you would want to build up those parasites with content that is relevant to your target keywords.

So if you are trying to rank for hats, putting link on a new Web 2.0 that was once about gaming and has gaming links isn't going to do much. That's why you make the content for a couple of weeks or more, to demonstrate relevance and then do some social signals to ensure that the relevance sticks.

Nice thread, you just inspired me to start a SEO Parasites Journey myself :D
