Parasite sites?

I thought a parasite was a Web 2.0 that used the high DA of its domain to pump up its PA. I built some of these and built links to my site. (there are 2 fantastic posts on this here in the forum).

But I think I missed out on the most important part of those posts.

Do Web 2.0s allow you to put advertising on them? So the Web 2.0 would be my money site and I would build links to it.

That would rank a lot quicker I would think.

If I could put a banner with a link on a Web 2.0 wouldn't that rank quicker.

I know it is a dumb question but I completely missed it the first time so i would like some clarification from the Pros.

Most people would take those well-made web2.0's and make them T1's pointed at a real money site. Is there some reason you can't make an actual website for your landing page?

No I am doing that right now. But my money site has a DA of of 38 and PAs of between 19-41 depending on which page it is.
If I just created a Web 2.0 and built links to that wouldn't I have a much higher DA to start with so pumping up the PA should be easier. What prevents us from doing this. Because I don't see it being done. Do the Web 2.0s want part of the advertising earnings? Or is it being done and I am just to dense to see it?

You don't have much control on them. Assume that you have spent years to build them and then one day, they terminated your account for any reason.
I asked same question for PBN sites. You have control on them but I could not get a satisfactory answer about PBNs.I guess we can use ads on PBNs. But as I said, it is too risky for web 2.0s.

Who said you shouldn't. If you are bumping you web 2.0, you should definitely put some affiliate links and CTA there in case they ranked and got some traffic.

I build authority websites that cover a big Niche. Then web 2.0 and small websites for backlinks but I try to rank them just like the main one. I am competing with myself if this makes any sense to you

Great. I would like to do the same thing for web 2.0 and PBNs. Could you give a more detailed example? Is it something like this:

Subdomain of main website: car.main.com
Subdomain of main website: mobilephone.main.com

1. Web 2.0: fastcars.wordpress.com
2. Web 2.0: ford.wordpress.com
3. Web 2.0: android-phones.wordpress.com

So you put affiliate links related to cars (1 and 2) and phones (3) on your web2.0s?

Do your web 2.0s look like actual websites? How many articles do you have on them? Do you update them with new articles regularly?

First : I try to find high PA web 2.0 basically tumblr cuz like I said I hate using tools or build backlinks

Second : If my website is about vaccuum reviews, robot vacuums, top vacuums for carpet cleaning, handheld vacuums which is 1 category in the website for example, then I build blog web 2.0 that goes like

Carpet cleaning, car cleaning, robot vs standard, how to get rid of tough spots... So, I target infomational articles using web 2.0

Third : As I try to use high PA web 2.0, I aim for quantity. Cuz I can only build 1 or 2 backlinks maximum on my web 2.0. Referring domain is way stronger than number of backlinks. I believe 20 Referring domain is better than 100 backlinks from 10 domains.

Anyway, as I prefer putting content to my website than web 2.0, I try to choose micro niches for web 2.0 and put 4 to 6 articles on them.

I might even target specific product with the web 2.0 if it's getting volume. So, review, specifications, photos, videos, user opinions are 5 pages to cover the whole product and more than enough.

This makes me safe from thin content problem cuz I have covered the whole micro niche, and it's fast as only the review need to be written

Parasite generally refers to a property you try to rank and make money from directly - the parasite is your money site - like a Reddit post or Shopify page etc. that has a link to redirect somewhere else. You rank it and usually funnel the traffic somewhere offsite. They can be ranked faster and with spammier links but the tradeoff is you don't have total control and it could be taken down at any time.

Web 2.0s generally refer to a type of link that you build.

Parasites are "money sites" that you rank and make money from and web 2.0s are just backlinks that will probably never rank for anything. (But parasites are built on web 2.0 platforms, they just aren't called web 2.0s when talking about SEO)

I love parasite sites they akready got authority, for low comp they are easy to rank, and on some you're allowed to put your affiliate

Firstly you should have your main money site on a privately registered domain for complete control over it. Build money site quality web2.0s and use them as both tier 1 links and secondary money sites. Thirdly, rank your web2.Os for related keywords to benefit your money site. And lastly do not give too much importance to PA/DA.
