Paranoia: Validating a Page past 10K

Some of you may be following my other thread- where I describe I am creating about two dozen local Pages on facebook. They are each getting to the 10K threshold, and I am starting to freak out that they won't be successfully validated. I understand at 10K fans, Facebook asks you to verify the page and you can do this by putting a badge or widget on your blog/site. A few questions:

1. What was your experience with this? Did you get validated and maintain publishing rights? Or did you get restricted? What was the process like?

2. I have about 30 such Pages. One for each city. The page is generic "I heart CITY". I am concerned that FB seems to not verify/validate pages that are generic in nature. Must I create a site or blog (or subpage to my larger local site) that uses this terminology to help my chances of passing?

Any thoughts/comments welcome - please feed or alleviate my paranoia depending on whatever the reality is.

honestly i would like to know more about this as well. how the hell do you validate things by a blog.

like i have a fan page of an Athlete how the hell am i gonna validate that when there is no website being used?

With the pages ive lost my publishing rights to, i was never asked to verify the page, i just lost them, but i set up a blog and badge for one page but same happened to that, im not sure whether you can actually verify it until they ask, i maybe wrong tho

Oh boy- now I'm really concerned. Any BH'ers got past this step successfully and have any advice?

I only ran a small blog for my page - that wasn't good enough, so I got this ail a few weeks later:

lol...FAIL. What can we do then?

yea man but some people prefer long term income than short term.

Basically, Once you start posting status updates is when you will get the "Authentication Page" request.

IME, pages that are very similar in Names to a website that your linking to will be approved

If its a "local business" just get a domain name similar to the name of the page and put up your widget and you should be fine.

Especially if your doing something whitehat its in fbook's best interest to have their widget on your page
