Panda 3.4 Confirmed

By gutted you mean about to give up his career in online marketing?

he probably feels like crap that he just lost his business...much like I felt on Feb 17th when panda 3.3 hit...

let me say this, I have been doing some extreme link building and every link is de-optimized anchor text, such as naked url's, brand name, random shit like "click here" "find out more"...my SERPs are dancing liking a mother fucker right now and i think this is a good thing...

i really like this article on panda 3.3: http://www.audiencebloom.com/2012/03...ow-to-recover/

i know its only a theory, but its well thought out and it makes really good sense...

i know i am guilty of not de-optimizing my anchor text...i thought my anchor text was super diversified and it was, but it was not de-optimized...

how can google send out 700,000 WMT message in January and February? They turn up the dial on google BLOOP (back link over optimization penalty) and then they manually take out a bunch of private/public blog networks so everyone thinks its the private/public blog networks (and yes, this is part of the reason SERPs can tank, but not to receive a message in WMT)...

i should also mention, i bought into two networks of high pr home back links that were ridiculously effective, i'm talking like i had three inner pages of my website on the first page of the search term i was optimizing for...

and all these pages had shema.org stars appearing so i had click through rates that were through the roof...

where i was going with this post, not so sure...nonetheless...we will prevail...google is algorithm and all algorithms have a solution...

I was hit last year with other Pandas, but the recent ones have been good to me actually. I had experimented with using BMR 2 months ago to rank multiple keywords on 1st page, but stopped using it the last month. When I saw the network go down I thought I would get keywords dropping everywhere, but actually things have maintained and move upwards. Diversifying your links and anchors while maintaining a good link velocity daily has been the key for me so far.

sigh... My sites took a pretty serious hit. All of the graphs for rankings are down. Time to diversify anchor texts a bit more I suppose?

yes...Yes...YES!!!!

don't just "diversify" your anchor, de-optimize your anchor text...

"The best way to rank now is to place a picture of a lady Panda ..."
~~! can i ask,what is lady Panda ? or just a lady ? xD

I'd hope he's made enough with BMR that he can start anew with another project. :)

I hope he was wise enough to invest in other things while BMR was making money especially considering the fact that BMR is a blog network and Google hates blog networks.

One of my MNS is gone from 11th > 80th yesterday and today i see it in 306

Some shit, non-informative, non-keyword relevant sites are ranking high in top 100

But my well researched articles, copy-scaped site is punished to 306th place.

I am seeing that Google is showing more non-relevant sites, the quality of Google results is going down for every panda update.

This algorithm is for sure gonna kill them!

no huge changes, just dancing around
even for G it takes some time to filter all indexed webs through panda sh*t
lets wait and see

Don't know if I'm dancing or not, but my site has gone from ranking in the high 50's to being rank 9. 22.2K Exact, difficult to rank for too. Been doing a lot of SEO lately and recently updated on page seo to be a bit more thorough.

It's had a positive impact so far if its because of this, hope it isn't a dance and its something solid. Hopefully I can now start to get higher on page 1 and start to see some pennies flowing my way.

Getting tired of this crap. My 150k a month term now has a shitty site with less than 250 words on the front page and no content in #1. My site that has nothing below 1500 well written words is in 7th....fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.
All my rage.
All my rage.
All my rage.
All my rage.
All my rage.
All my rage.

Well, it finally hit me. All of my sites were holding strong. I always use a ton of different linking strategies to diversify but today one of my main earners went from #1 (for over 2 years) to #13. This is probably gonna cost me about $100 a day easy. The sad thing is that this site actually provides a legit service that you can not find in many of the currently ranking sites. I did use BMR and others but very sparingly. On top of that I actually have over 2K legit facebook likes and 500 tweets, just to give you an example of how the quality of the site. Not sure if this is a permanent drop or not or how I'm going to go about fixing the problem but it definitely sucks. The biggest problem that I have is that most of my income comes from search based traffic and Google is making this way too stressful. This isn't going to ruin my or anything but its definitely gonna smack me in the wallet. I think that I, and many of us, really need to concentrate on getting other forms of traffic. Even if you put your eggs on many baskets (different sites). If you mainly rely on Google for traffic or Adsense for monetization, you really are putting yourself at risk. I am starting to learn that lesson more and more.

Sorry man, but its an important lesson that I think everyone should
learn. Diversify anything and everything possible in IM, it will help
sustain long term and reduce risk. Simply relying on Google for traffic
or PayPal for a merchant system just can't happen.

Regardless, sorry you are going through this. I'd recommend sticking
with it. While it sounds like you had diversity in linkbuiding its also
important to diversify anchor text. Google IS analyzing backlinks for
what appears to be artificial linkbuilding. While we are all "link addicts"
its important to not fuel our addiction by optimizing each and every
backlink.

Best of luck!

None of my tons of websites have dropped rankings. In fact, most have gone up the SERPs.

This Panda can fuck off. Hehe.

Thanks for the kind words. Although I did not mention it in the original post, I am a big fan of anchor diversity. In fact I probably use {this site|here|my ***** about 50% of the time and only use my main KWs about 25% and since there are about 10 KWs I target that is some pretty decent diversity right there. Not sure why I got hit.

If it doesn't improve in a week or so, I may just hit it with a few K links and see what happens, it seems to work with my other sites. It also will reenforce my theory about doing the opposite of what screwgle says lol. :D

Yea I have had many sites go up. It's just that the one site that dropped is just beyond me. In fact, I kinda wish I would get a manual review :D
