What do you mean by free traffic?
Paid Traffic: Basically ads
Free Traffic: FB group posting, SEO, etc.

I know SEO also requires money but it's long term and don't have to give money every day/month/time

He's talking about ''spam'' in facebook group etc

To be honest if i need to talk about my forex experience, free traffic make me more happy after an CPA trigered and it work good if you have the good things in your hand ..

Are they of same quality and targeted?

Free traffic any day any time.
No sensible business owner would opt for paid if the time and energy required to attract both remains the same and quality(target) is the same. Profit is all that matters.

I prefer free traffic but yes seo is not free, it needs effort and money too.

Paid all the way. You can scale at easy. But I rely on the organic traffic paid brings me through shares.

free traffic is very hard to get, expecially when you start your site

I'm a fan of both. The only difference is that you should be knowledgeable enough to build free traffic sources, whereas paid ad campaigns could be set up with ease. Paid ads are more targeted though.

I prefer paid, but I don't have money to pay.

One isn't really better than the other. Paid traffic is arguably more scalable and usually going to be a faster potential return but it's hard to beat the return on free/organic traffic.

I flip flop on this a lot but I'd probably say free traffic just for the better ROI.

If traffic is free, you are almost certainly paying with your time. I think it depends at what stage you are, but there is a limit to spamming facebook groups by yourself
