WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS OF GOOGLE FOR SITE DOWNLOAD SPEED?

Google PageSpeed Insights service divides all sites by load time into: slow, medium and fast. Normal is considered speed, which is included in the category of fast and medium.
For Desktop:

fast - less than 1 second;
medium - 1-2.1 sec;
slow - more than 2.1 sec.

For Mobile:

fast - less than 1.6 seconds;
medium - 1.6-3 seconds;
slow - more than 3 sec.

quick answer: yes, not only affects SEO, but (more important) has a huge impact on conversion.

On the SEO side may noty have a huge impact, especially in markets in which more or less everyone has high speed internet connection at home, but if you work on a project with audience all over the planet, you may want your site to perform fine.

Thanks, but I was thinking tests where sites become slower to load and because of that they lose rankings.
 
yes, page speed really maters for SEO, when visitors come to your website if it takes a long time to load may they will skip.
 
I agree user experience is an important part. The factors that affect that will be then page speed, bounce rate, etc.
 
Page speed is the one of the ranking factor.
Loading speed is high means traffic will come high and decrease the bounce rate also.
 
Yes and it does matter a lot.
I have an website that was hosted in Netherlands but at the same time targeting english speaking users(US,CA,UK) i had lots of traffic from european countries and very few from the english speaking ones. A few months ago i decided to move my website to a US server (on the same webhosting company) guess what? After 3 months, my website is getting over 80% of traffic from USA & UK.
 
Eventually It matters, every single aspect which leads to conversion counts!
 
It's quite important. Plugins like WP Rocket could help a lot.
 
If it was that easy, everyone would be doing it. It's cringe-worthy how website-makers are clueless. Sure, plays a part but minimally.

Instead of desperately trying to find an easy way to make your site more successful, I'd suggest... Do the actual work.

Spend that time in making more high-quality content that will satisfy your visitors and get you new ones.

Search engines will have to follow. Or get back to searching for "effortless methods".
 
Pagespeed does matter.

We optimized a WordPress site by using a service from BHW Marketplace and from 4th place in SEO we climbed in 1st. We were building backlinks in that period of time but they were not yet indexed so we give huge kudos to that speed part of the seo for that.
 
Anything you do that makes visitors stay longer on the site, matters
 
We already know it is a rank factor, how big or small makes no difference since it is a factor and optimizing it should be part of the development of the site regardless for UX and many other reasons. No matter what, the speed of your site is something you can’t safely just ignore.
 
As an internet user ask yourself the following question...Will you regular visit a site that takes 5 seconds to load?
