Pages Changing To Crawled Not Indexed

Got a few pages that have gone into the "Crawled Not Indexed" section of GSC but not too sure why?

The content is hand written, optimized and of decent quality, I've written 20 articles in the same way but only a few seem to be affected

Would building more internal links between the content help? More images?

I had the same problem and i noticed that updating the content and adding a video helps!

Oh really? That's interesting, I might go back and add an FAQ question or something, few internal links between and then resubmit for indexing and see if they can lift each other

How many internal links have you already built? Have you posted the articles on social media? Have you built any backlinks & submitted the backlinks to an indexer?
 
Check that the pages are search engine friendly, not blocked by robots.txt, and that there are no crawl errors or issues on the server.
 
Usually it's a matter of time, the pages will be indexed soon or later
 
Add 2-3 more sentences to the article. Sprinkle some outbound links to authority sites in relevant places.
Make the introduction quirkier.

About 8-10 internal links, I've shared the articles wide and far in terms of Socials. I've built a few links but nothing major as it secured #1 pretty much straight away

Hopefully. They've been indexed before but seems to have moved into the crawled section of GSC.

Yeah I thought so, I'm going to add a bit, few more internal links, few outbound links and see what happens
 
Did you make changes to those pages, pages internally linking to them, or global changes to the site? Sometimes google seems to take pages out of the index with changes until it can reindex them. If you put them in the priority queue they should be reindexed quickly.

I haven't made any yet, about to add a sentence or two, add some more internal links and re-request it

So, did you ever actually find anything out here? I understand that we generally do not bump 1 month old threads but rather make topics, but I was curious as to if your pages were ever indexed?

I checked through the content and made some changes to what I had. I also added an image to each page and out of 20 pages, 12 returned to their positions.

The remaining 8 I sent through a paid indexer which got those indexed. I also shared all of the content once indexed on Social Platforms
 
I have done some testing on the crawled not indexed and it seems that it happens to pages that add nothing new to the serp.

When I had added some facts of something the rest of the top 10 don’t cover I have seen the pages index.

It's just tweaking to suit the SERP a lot of the time, no content is 100% the first time :)

Thanks for bring this out.

What I noticed on the domain was this:
Domain 1 was used for spam before being dropped out, so I'm having difficulty indexing it, I tried a paid indexing service to force index the domain after few hours the homepage was live on Google, but went out within few hours also, even with it's quality backlink and authority, they whipped it out of serp

On the domain 2: I gave it time and it got indexed within a month.

@Rnking maybe those post are being affected by Google algorithm update, I'm not sure if there's an ongoing update though.

Keep writing content, if they get indexed try working on the post that got removed then interlink them to new contents and see if they get indexed as well, also submit to GSC.

Backlinks if necessary, otherwise no.

Avoid Indexing API at all cost, allow Google find you don't force it.
I've had a terrible experience with some indexing API including rankmath as they'll index your content but In the long run your content will disappear and you'll start thinking is Google update.

I'm not an expert, just my little advice.

In my experience this is due to thin content, or regurgitated information.

The best trick I've found is add something unique to stand out from the crowd.

A little sweetener, to make Google think the page could be a useful resource to others.
