Finaly Google has updated it's PageRank.
Moved from 4 to 5.

Happy

Unlike before, PR updates takes place at different point of times for different sites..

None of my sites have moved. PR doesn't mean crap nowdays though....other than for the means of getting your links on high PR pages.

All of my site's PRs lowered. :(

Need to increase in the next update. :)

LOL, a few sites that I have that receive almost no traffic went up 2 PRs, the ones that actually do receive traffic stayed PR0. Just a good eye opener how much PR means, unless what you do is selling links or using these links to rank.

Well PR does means something if you're backlinking correctly. If you have a high PR and little traffic from search engines, then that means your backlinks obviously aren't targeting your keywords. By targeting I mean proper use of anchor text.

After seeing this thread, I checked my sites and one shot up from 0 to 4. The content started to be added last year mid September and the domain is 2.5 years old. Its a whitehat site with one unique article of at least 200 worlds being posted everyday. Average visitors is 50 a day and 80% are from search engines mainly from Google and 95% are from North America. The site has around 750 backlinks.
I'm puzzled with that jump as I know of sites similar to mine but are much older posting around 20 articles a day with at least 4 figure amount of visitors are on PR 5-6.

I guess PR is not easy to predicate and may not be worth valuing a site.

Overall I'm glad as some people still value sites in terms of PR among other things.

Crappy websites have all gained places.. Mostly PR2 and PR3 (Some are really crappy)

My main website has 30,000+ quality links.. Alexa is 63,000... Ranked in top3 for most of targeted keywords (targeting 50+ keywords)... Google decides to give it PR1

I really don't really care about PR, but it is v funny how crappy websites are given more credit than the real deals!

all my n/a went to 0

my pr3 went to 2

and a few 0 went to 1

I didnt even notice until I stumbled on this thread.. who cares about pr?

Well, one of the sites that went from 0 to 2 has 23 backlinks. These same backlinks have been used for at least 3 other sites that have many many other backlinks, which are PR0. The only thing in advantage for this site is domain age, that's the only thing I can come up with in its defense.

Certainly domain age also plays a role as one of other site which is kind of similar to the one that rose in PR is just few months old but has more content and the PR is still 0.

Mine dropped from 4 -> 2, I have to work more.

despite of increased backlinks,, PR of most of my sites has gone down in the last 3-4 months.. i my opinion, its not only about backlinks now..

it seems that G is changing its algorithms. most of my sites stayed at the same PR, despite the fact that i tripled backlinks for them...
