Page unlikes?

Hey guys,

Just curious whether most others are still receiving a lot of unlikes? I know there was the huge like culling back in May~, but Facebook reported that this would be over a two week period or so. Before you ask... Prior to the large culling, our unlikes were low - maybe 200-300 a week.

Right now, we're seeing 300-500 unlikes a day which is counteracting the 4k~ page likes we get per week.

It feels to me as though there must be some sort of culling still occurring, because the numbers do not look like real "unlikes" to me based on my past 3 years experience.

Anyone know any more on this?

I'm getting 100 unlikes per day

and it's not normal in my page..

It started in March not May.
Facebook never reported that this would be over in two weeks.
Facebook removes fake likes after 2 days.

Yes, sorry I meant March. They may not specifically have stated "two weeks" but they did suggest it would go for a couple/few weeks.

Regardless, I am just stating my experience and asking others whether they're experiencing the same. Your response was not helpful.

And in regards to Facebook "deleting fake likes after 2 days" - to clarify, I do not have fake likes.

Yeah, losing around 1200 fans per day on my biggest page. Do any of you share links or third-party content on your pages often? One of the reasons, I lose a lot of fans per day is because we post some links and videos which are not directly related to the page.

However, the amount of fans unliking the page everyday has definitely been on the rise of late.

Lucky, I am only getting 20-40 per day. Averaging 1k new weekly.

Interesting, are you bleeding likes over all? Still going up or going down? What's the size your page if you don't mind me asking?

We publish our own content and I don't think that has anything to do with it. Our content has good click-through rates and good engagement. Nothing has really changed in that area for us in a couple of years.

I get the impression this is still some sort of "cleansing" being enforced by Facebook.

Biggest page has 4.4 million fans. We're losing fans overall per week for the last 5 weeks or so although it's only a handful of them overall (Around 300 fans per week)

Posting relevant content definitely helps in reducing the number of unlikes but yes, this has more to do with Facebook making some background changes than anything else.

Also, to clarify, I did a cross-check with any page unlikes from individual post stats and it doesn't come anywhere near the unlike number. We get maybe 1-5 page unlikes for an individual post, which is significantly lower than the amount dropping off.

It's one thing if Facebook are deleting inactive accounts, I just hope this isn't evidence of FB acting on your behalf to unlike things.
