Hi all. I have this problem where the homepage title of my is indexed by google but not the content. I tried to check manually by inserting a sentence from my homepage article in google but it seems that the content is not indexed. All the other pages and posts are indexed just fine. I've never had this problem with my other sites so far except for this one. Any idea what could be the cause? Fyi the site is about a month plus.

That's because you are blocking Google via your robots.txt file. Check your WordPress reading settings and make sure the box to discourage search engines from indexing your site isn't ticked.

When you type site:yoursite.com on google what do you see?

Is you homepage on spot 1?

nah man i'm not blocking google via my robots.txt file. Here's what it looks like:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /wp-admin/

And I did not tick the "discourage search engines from indexing your site" box.

Quite curious though.

Yeah man the homepage is on spot 1. Page title meta descriptions everything's indexed except for the content. Couldn't find them in google when I searched for a sentence of my homepage article manually. It's been about a month.

First, lots of sites have that shitty "read more here...link" tacked on at the end after you copy/paste a snippet into the search engine. I find this is usually why you don't see your content when you copy a snippet. Make sure you scroll to the end of the search text box to make sure you don't have some plugin doing that.

Next, I would say data centers and would wait a few days.

Hi, what do you mean by "read more here...link" tacked on at the end after you copy/paste a snippet into the search engine"? Sorry but I'm not too sure about it. haha.

Copy/paste the snippet of content to something like notepad and see if there is a "Read more here...." with a link to your site. If you happen to copy/paste and a plugin hijacks the copy, Google will show no results for your content...not even scrapers or similar results.

Hey, I am having the same issue for my 8 weeks old wordpress site. How did you solved your problem? Could you please share with me.
Thanks In Advance

Have you tried checking a homepage content snippet like one sentence in quotes? If it still doesnt rank then your domain may be filtered for results.

Yes I searched homepage content in quotes but no result found. That's what I am talking about, my content is not indexing. Not only home page content but some other pages content also. I have total 18 post in my site now. 13 posts index well but the other 5 posts indexed but only title not the content.

I am helpless don't know what to do now.

Is this site in webmaster tools? If so, go to fetch as google and request it be indexed.
