Hi guys! I need little bit help.

We started our online store project from may 2024 and around november 2024 we started to focus more on SEO and we got really good results rather fast. Please see image.

But we noticed that after january-february high rise we started to have small decline. And we could not figure out what it was.

During june update that finished in or around 17th of July, we got sudden drop and we have not recovered from this and today it is already looking really bad.

Is this coincience that immediately after core update we got punched in the face like that? Well, i dont know.

We have now found out that there has been massive amount of backlinks generated under our name to spammy websites etc and over last months we have taken alot of actions to change our page, remove duplicates and product descriptions, move page around, change all information texts, disawowed and tried to get rid of all bad backlinks etc.

We know now that some blogger accounts were done around november 2024 which indicates that from that time somebody ordered small "attack" towards our business and last comments we did find from may-june-july period.

Could it be, that decline from march to may-june was from the spammy links that somebody ordered for us?
Could it be just one-in-a-million luck that core update after this spammy update killed our page totally?

From last ten years, i have seen that mostly there is 4 google core updates in a one calendar year. Sometimes 3. But never 2.
This year we have had core update in march and june/july.
Does anyone have ANY information that there would be another core update?
Is there any point in waiting or we should officially put our site to bed, to die slowly?
Or we have some other options what to do? We feel like this is the last resort, been trying to do everything but nothing helps - page is just not recovering from this situation.
Should i try to rebrand, move everything to new domain and new brand? Start over? Wait? Go to vacation?

What would you do in my shoes?

Company belongs to me, we have small team and small business. In Europe. Nothing fancy. Have maybe few months left in this rate. Need to come up with a plan. Automotive online store.

Thank you for all the future responses, questions or ideas.

Google itself can recognize negative seo and nullify it's effect . So your loss of traffic can be because of other reeasons.

The fall likely came from bad links and the update, so fix your backlinks first and rebuild slowly before starting a new site.

One core update and aite lost rankings. This means that the links you for built for the site were not of good quality.

It seems your site took a hit from both the June core update and those spammy backlinks. The drop wasn't just bad luck - the update likely amplified the damage caused by those low-quality links. You've done the right things by cleaning up and disavowing, but recovery often takes time and usually happens after the next core update. Focus on rebuilding trust with better content and natural links.

I am sharing my experience for the same problem. I solved the issues and get back to ranking. Check below what I did to rank back.
1. I check GSC and list the affected page/post
2. I checked SERP with affected keywords
3. Listed top 5 posts/pages
4. I audit the top pages content and backlink profile.
5. I find out the content gap & update the content.
6. Update publish date & meta title.
7. Reindex request.
8. Did some blog comment & social share especially Twitter
9. Shared each page 5-7 days

I got back my rank and still 1st pages top position.

You need to geta SEO audit done from an experienced SEO provider for this.

You need to check all factors like manual action penalties, new/changed backlinks, content quality, changes in rankings, site authority, etc.

For example, if your site is ranking in 4th position for most keywords but Google starts showing reddit and instagram posts ahead of you, then your site will disappear from front page and you might lose all traffic overnight. Such changes have nothing to do with your content or backlink profile.

So, try to identify the root cause first and prepare a plan of action. Just hitting in the dark won't help.

Even if you lost rankings in one update, it is not the end of the world. You can recover by tweaking seo strategy.

Is this true that currently looks like some kind of Core update from Google is rolling out?
