If I sign up for a forum and find a page with a good page rank and post in that page, will the backlink count as posted on a high page rank page if i put it in my signature ?

Yes (provided it doesn't have 'nofollow').

Whats nofollow ? never heard of it...

Nofollow is an optional link attribute that Google made in order to prevent links from passing page rank. It was designed to reduce spam. Any link that has the attribute rel="nofollow" in it will not pass you any page rank.

Download the firefox plugin - SEOQuake, and select "Line Through No-Follow" in the options. There are many plugins that will flag nofollow links, but SEOQuake is a good one. Alternatively view the page source and do a Ctrl+F find for "nofollow". See if the attribute appears in other signatures.

You'll find nofollow is less likely to appear on forums, and more likely to appear on blogs.

Do I have to take up some steps for a brand new domain before I start commenting like crazy ??

Does Big G check this when they put you in the sandbox ??

I wouldn't worry about making too many comments Riff, not unless you want to use an automatic commenting program.

Just another question, if its a nofollow link does it cross out the link the a line in the middle of it.

NVM bout that, the plugin crosses out the links that have a nofollow tag in them. Last question lol. What ways are there to submit links to high PR sites, just forums blogs and directories? Any others im missing out on ?
