Page rank domains with no backlinks

I found some quite a few pr4, pr3 and pr2 domains they are all deleted domains I ran various tests on Open Site Explorer, majestic checked on different pagerank tools including fake pagerank tools and the pr are legit but there is no backlinks to the domains. so how is it possible to still have pr? they are all aged domains.
is it worth something or is it just garbage?

I wouldn't focus to much on PR because it's kinda useless now a days. Focus on domains that have solid backlinks, at least that's what I do.

It's possible for domains to have PR on them which may be from a while ago, and it has since lost some of those links. Remember, pagerank hasn't been updated in like 6 months. I agree with the previous reply, focus on domains with quality backlinks now and not PR. Use sites like AhRefs to check domain backlinks

No its not really worthy for now...for present, Back links are much important than PR...so better you go with Domains with decent Back links
