Today happened to me something very funny and i wanted to share my story

I have one mns site that was built before 3-4 days.I didnt make backlinks yet.
I just add 3 articles some ping and stats backlinks and site got indexed
Main KW is at 132# today

and wtf? This site got a PR5 today!

i checked if domain is old...no. I tested PR with many checkers ....its a PR5!

the best part of all is that the domain was a gift to me from a member of BHW...Ty man!

Sell the website as quickly as you can. That PR5 won't last long.
 
sell the website while its pr5 lol. like other said, it wont last
 
Check your backlinks and figure out where the PR5 is coming from. It you can't find it, you might have a magical 301 going to your site from someone, OR it was previously 301'd to a PR5 and picked up the PR. Which it will lose soon. I'd just ignore it and keep working. Don't try to scam someone.
 
What does PR really matter to a site? can it bring u more traffic or what?

Thats a very valid point. I agree that don't sale it for some bucks till it retains its PR and after the buyer is happy, the PR just vanishes.
 
Is this really possible? I mean 3 articles no or very minimal SEO done and PR5? Sorry for the dumb question.
 
With all it's algorithm updates, google is becoming stranger and stranger....
 
you should check to see if you can see an aged backlink, if so it'll stick.
 
zero traffic and pr 5 ... i would rather consider pr zero with decent traffic ... as said above u can flip it but then you have to show some fake traffic stats which i think as u human u shouldnt do but it ur wish :) anyways congrats :) hope it stays long i mean the PR :)
 
Dude, I'm doing SEO for a client, and for the past 3 months I've been doing nothing but helping with on-site stuff (not much work, just some free advice) because he disappears for long stretches of time (obviously this is just a hobby type deal and not his business).

We concluded on a price finally, and his site is finally a year old. Great, time to go-go-go.

...It has horrible webdesign, a single post, no backlinks, no 301, both domain.com and www. domain.com direct to the site, low traffic...

...It's PR5...

....

Thanks Google for the wise and logical algorithm.
