im glad they said "AMP is no longer a requirement for pages"

As part of this update, AMP is no longer a requirement for pages to be included in the Top Stories carousel. That change will take effect as early as this Thursday.
In addition, Google is expanding the usage of non-AMP content to Google News and removing the AMP badge icon from search results.

I don't think there was a big change to my SERP positions but more keywords were picked up.

not fast enough. many updates have been made to improve user experience, all with the promise of better rankings for better websites, but all i see is the extreme opposite. good sites get shit on, while spun websites make top ranks and maintain much easier.
