Page 2 but little Traffic?

Hello,

I found a keyword which have 246,000 "Global Monthly Searches" and 60,500 "Local Monthly Searches"

My website is on page 2 of google ranking #11 for my main keyword, but as compared to the sources i am only getting 10-12 UV a day,! I am still creating backlinks to improve my rankings but what about traffic?

Am i missing something?

How old is your site? I'd say keep chipping away little by little. Have some patience. You'll get there.

I used to check my adsense earnings several times a day but now only once, if that. Why? I was obsessing over how much each site was earning. Now I"m tending to do the same with rankings. Once a day. No obsessing for me. Give it some time; it'll move up.
 
Page 2 is not much.... you need to be above the fold of the first page.... usually it's best to be in the top 5. anything after that goes drastically down in clicks.

Traffic for 1 keyword won't really start happening until you hit the front page, build additional pages and target multiple long tailed keywords. When you do that your main keyword ranking will go up as well as all the traffic to your site.
 
This means that keywords has searches and if you go nr1,you will get at least 300-400 visitors per day!
 
Page 2 is almost knowhere in organic search terms - probably less than 5% of searchers ever go there unless they really don't find what they're looking for on page 1. Which makes it even less likely that they are going to find it on page 2!
 
UPDATE: My site jumped to Page 1 in google and a little increase in traffic.

I am still creating backlinks my current rank is #10, now where should i invest to get #1 position? High PR Backlinks?
 
The back links will help you to get better traffic.The off page optimization methods are time taking.You keep on trying.It will work.
 
Work at backlinks but you first wanna try adding more content with your keyword in it. Do some onpage SEO - it should help a lot if your content is good quality/unique. Do some outbound links to authority sites in your niches as well, your site is fresh and too many links in and none out will harm it.
 
Heh im on first page 7 position for 823000 monthly searches and i only get about 100 visits a day so not big suprise

Interesting that number 9 ranks so highly...I have quite a few sites at 9, maybe its a good idea to keep them there
 
You definitely need to keep working to get to the top 3. If you're not there, I question whether it'd even be profitable at all. I've had sites jump from 1-3, and even within that range, the traffic varied greatly.
