Bloody hell, cant believe it. Page 1 on big G, with a .co.cc site !!!
Total cost = 0
method = BH world

Just got to start concentrating now on improving monetising the site, experimenting etc, etc and then apply method across further sites, but I'mm not in a rush. In it for the long haul. Perhaps when things really get going I will be able to post some useful pointers to BH members.

6 months ago I didnt even know how to set up a named server for a domain!!!!

Thanks BH members this site is a mine of info........

well done man :biggthump, im page 8 with a .info rather proud.

Start working on another keyword bud while watching your click stats!

congrats...
actually you can rank any site/page on Google
the problem, most of the time, is "for what keyword"

I tried for myself a few things with free domains. this is very very difficult. My experience is that free domains has no chances to the top 3 or its up to 60% harder.

My experience was for around 3 months, i wanted to rank on a same keyword with a TLD and with a free domain, the links and pages (onsite) are the same.

Ok so I am like 7 million in the ranking cause I am just starting out it is a matter of time or did you all do something for that page 1 ranking??
I am not looking for that free lunch I know it is not there just want to know what others are doing??

congrats on the god job. I would improve the site more before monetising it or at least start small - you can dive pretty qiuick if you over monetize it

Lisa- start reading the posts here, it will help you make a strategy. You have to start with the basics and move upwards- keyword research-site building/design-content/SEO-promotion and so on.

Move to buying domains. infos are like a buck curently on godaddy

Nice one.

This site, as many have said, really, really does have everything for you to start in one way or another doing anything really web related. Its kind of like a bible lol. With anything, use your common sense and apply the methods etc explained in BH to your individual situation. The site has given me direction in how and what to research. All I can say from a newb, that has been looking for something like this for such a long time, is to read, read, read. I have just comissioned a very professional website for a customer, that has basically paid for my web hosting for 3 years. This was something I wasnt expecting ! (bearing in mind that 6 months ago, I had never even heard of WP,RSS,ping, virtual server etc, etc) in the meantime I am slowly applying different aspects from advice given here to various blogs etc. Like I said, I hope to eventually be able to respond to comments, with earnings information etc, like some of the pros on here. Anyway thought it would be a good post for newbs motivation.

Cheers,
Kawain.
