PAA. Is this how you do it?

I'm an idiot and although I read everything here I'm still confused.

So here is my understanding and please correct me if Im wrong. You can also roast me as I definitely deserve it.

So I search for a primary keyword in my niche and in search result I see a box of "people also ask". It has 5 to 6 accordion with each having a title and a snippet and a link to the site.

Here is what (I think I should do)

1- take these titles each one.
2 - write an article having in it 6 sub titles and under each one a couple of 100 of words.
3 - add images and stuff with an introduction.

Am I missing something? I know people here scrape thousands of paas and stuff but Im asking on the general aspect of things.

You can do that.
What I am doing is looking for a good keyword and then typing it in google, look at the questions and search them on semrush to see difficulty.
If I find a relatively easy question I could rank for, I'd write a whole article around this question.

sounds like a good plan, but may I ask 2 questions?

1) how do you define a good keyword? For me, a good keyword is a keyword that a) has search volume, b) can rank without backlinks. Is this the same for you, or are you having a different definition for what constitutes a good keyword?

2) where do you get ideas for research on keywords that the top ranking sites have no content on? Because, when at least 1 site that's ranking in top 10 has content you can simply rewrite that content, and it's all good and dandy. But, oftentimes, I come across keywords that absolutely no page ranking in google's top 10 has any walls of text written on, and for such keywords finding content to get inspiration from is very hard. So, where do you get your research from for such keywords? Or you never target such keywords?

My niches are very broad, and I am extremely familiar with them, so it's easy to look for topics.
I think of a topic that would have interested me, think of the primary keywords, and look on SemRush for the best way to implement those keywords.
Even if some keywords are hard to rank but have good search traffic, I'd still go for those.
Working on backlinks is always an option in the future; content is a bit harder to come up with.

A good keyword, for me, is the same as for you.
I am satisfied with 300+ search traffic and relative ease of ranking.
Due to the niches being really broad, I can create a few articles revolving around the same keyword and not just a single one hence going for harder keywords as well, considering the search traffic is appropriate.
