Owning a domain name when using certain methods...

I'm using some blackhat methods. I currently am using private whois protection. I thought this was enough, but I was reading around the forum, that appears it really isn't.

The post said that if domain registrars receive enough spam complaints, then they may turn off private whois protection all-together.

Does anyone have any advice?

I'm thinking about transfering my domain to a new registrar (and using fake info), so nobody can find out who I am.

Will this be safe, or can they find you out through past domain owners?

Can domain registrars "cancel" your domain, if they receive enough spam complaints? Does this make any sense?

If so, can anyone recommend a good offshore domain registrar? Can anyone recommend one anyway?

Whois protection should be enough as long as you're using the right registrar. It's usually american companies like godaddy which will take action against you if they receive complaints.

Aside from handing over your private info, the most they could do is suspend/close your account with them and deactivate the domain or put it for sale. If it's for sale you can just buy it again or wait until it's expired and register it again somewhere else.

Some offshore registrars are namecheap and name.com.

I'm using name.com right now. I'm thinking about switching to namecheap. Are you sure these are offshore registrars?

You shouldn't be sending s*am from any domain registered in your name. Go to the store, get a pre*aid c*rd, and register a NEW domain through an offsh-0*re company.

Transfers-- Don't be silly.. If you bought the domain with your cr*dit c*rd, it doesn't matter where you transfer it or how you transfer it.. The domain will always be linked to you. I would advise that you dump the name and start over completely anonymously.

Other thoughts-- If you wish to do business with an offshore company, you should still pay anonymously.. and don't go with an international "offshore" company, where they also do business in the US... lol

If the region in which you live constitutes sp*m as 1lleg*l, then maybe you should consider an alternative to your current endeavor? In any case, good luck and take care.

I appreciate your input. I will go buy a prepaid card from the store soon. Can you recommend a good offshore domain registrar that accepts prepaid cards?
