I have been using ExpressVPN for the past 4 years and have been fine with it, however, seeing a lot of documentaries and articles lately made me more anxious about my privacy, especially when i saw that 3rd party VPN providers may also be risky.

I was studying through on how to create my own VPN server and surprised that it wasn't that hard and that expensive to have my own.

I wanted to ask some people in this forum if you are using your own VPN provider and how much more convenient it is for you, aswell how the pros and cons of it.

Thank you!

Using 3rd party apps give me less headaches. They are also offering a great selection of servers.

All the IP of ExpressVPN are monitored by Google so that means if they don't want you to use VPN for a specific purpose (like creating Google Play developer accounts). They will ban the accounts after taking $25 from you.

Because your details are directly connected to it as you are the one paying for the server and the only one connecting to the server.

Definitely makes sense. I figured even though i get an offshore anonymous host they'll still be able to find it out since my real ip is the one connected to it. Thanks for the information :)

If anyone owns a huge VPN network with users pn me

No vpn is safe because promising zero log does not mean you'll get zero log activity and the police will gladly see the logs, see that you've paid for the vpn service on your account or check your crypto wallet transaction and then check your outgoing connections from the registry or using forensics and they'll stick a danda up your ass for trying to a naughty geeky devious little james bond wannabe

Private Internet Access has proven in court that they do not keep logs because they aren't able to.
