I was wondering what would be the cheapest/easiest way to set up my own email site/server? I want to be able to let people sign up for an email account on my domain. A sign up process similar to gmail/hotmail would be fine. They would also have to be able to check their email from my domain. Basically I have an idea I want to test out that I think would work best if I can provide an email account for the person signing up. I'm trying to figure out how much of an investment in time/money it would take to set it up.

I checked them out. Seems really expensive. I think I would want to have at least 200 email accounts registered while I'm testing this out. If I go this route would I be better off just having someone design a site for me? I currently have a VPS, would I need to upgrade to a dedicated server to test this out? If anyone has any good links on this stuff please let me know. I couldn't find much information about doing this kind of stuff.
