Overwhelmed with METHODS!

I'm trying to get started in IM and I've been lurking the forums for a while now..

And I've read a million methods that apparently work 100%. BUT I still have no idea where to start! There's even like 5 different "Ultimate Beginner Guides" as stickies. My question is WHICH ONE??!!?

I'm Interested in youtube and CPA, is that too hard for a first approach? Any newbs recently broke through with a certain method? Where did YOU start?

It doesn't matter if u ask these questions or not, no one will share their secrets... all u can do is follow footprints people have left behind & master the method.

Well youtube + CPA might be hard without tools (u must have a VPS or fast uploading speeds if u want to scale it up).

It's good to read the forums and learn but reading too much is counter-productive as you've now discovered! If you're interested in YT + CPA forget everything else for now and focus on that and that only. There are multiple threads about methods for YT and CPA here on the forum to get you started.

However, as said above you may struggle now without tools as so many people are targeting Youtube with CPA offers. My experience with YT is limited so can't provide any further details. Find a method that you want to try, follow the guidelines (but use your brain to think how you can put a unique twist on it instead of copying exactly) and implement! See what works, learn from your mistakes and try again. Good luck.

You're interested in Youtube and CPA, that's good. You know what you're interested in, so focus on that. No use doing something you're not interested in. Tunnel vision success through youtube and cpa, don't let distractions in. I guarantee you will make money.

It is VERY important to do something you LIKE doing or else you won't stick with it and it will seem like a job. Stick to what you like and see how far you can go with it.

Who knows, you might discover you like some other things along the way!

Take a break. I know by my own, that reading and reading can get you mad. Sometimes when I go to bed I am so excited that I just want to earn a few hundred dollars just on one hour because of that I read a thread.

Just take a quick break, go outside, think about 3 methods that you would do most, and why, then delete 1, now you have 2. You have only 2 methods that I think you can handle. Three methods or more will be too much!

Keep is simple. It boils down to 3 or so simple considerations in 3 categories:

1) Making bank. Concentrate on a-online freelancing, b-offline web consulting (websites, SEO), and c-making websites (MNS, autoblogs et al) to keep or flip. Suggestion: build sites that have a combination of ways to make money, from pay-per-sale (affilliates, ebook sales), to pay per performance (CPA, Adsense and other ppc ad systems). D-any miscellaneous item not in the above three categories, experiment as you have time.

2) Getting Traffic. Will your traffic building rely mainly on SEO/ranking, or not? Alternative approach relies more on social media and Web 2.0, email, ads, and so on.

3) Content. Will you write your own new material, rewrite PLR or directory articles, or outsource it? Will you use RSS, scripts et al to automate adding new content to a site or not?

Sort out what you want in those areas, and your path should be clearer.

Just take action and now, you will learn far more about IM/SEO (and quicker) than you will from reading!

Start right here. Pick a method and give it 100% effort for 30 - 60 days. If after 30 - 60 days of 100% effort you're not making any $ come back to this thread and discuss what you did and I promise people will tell you where you went wrong.

I started with Craigslist.

What I did was pick something insanely hard (mainly because I didn't know any better), because when you start out, it's all the same, once that does not work out (probably), you can go onto something easier and it will seem much ALOT easier.

pick one method and go at it hard for at least 3 months. if it doesn't work then try another method and do the same.

keep knocking down those dominoes one will work eventually.

Youtube + CPA can be profitable but always analyze what the audience is currently looking for, follow the trend, then transform that trend into curiosity. The idea is to get a lot of traffic to your videos. So if you use a celebrity image for example, you're halfway there, make the celebrity appear on the youtube thumb also. Then support the video with narration. Use a strong title that people want to click on as if by impulse. Use good tags. If you can make it a bit controversial, even better. It will make people crave to boast their opinions on the comments and you'll have more chance the video could go viral. Then at the end push your URL. For example, when the video causes your audience to be curious you can say: Hey for the full exclusive story go here... Then you lock that content with a content locker. But let them have a glimpse first. Delay the locker with 5 seconds. Put something on the locker like "Please keep our service free, fillout one of our sponsors offers to get full exclusive access." If you do 3 of these videos each day divided over several youtube channels (make sure to use proxies) you will start to see an increase of income. It might start with 1 dollar days but after a while they become 20 dollar days and up. Keep being persistant and frequent with making more interesting videos and you will do well. It won't happen overnight. It will take time but its a nice passive income and at the same time you grow your website with fun articles. Then on the site/blog itself you can add PPC ads to even make more money. Just a few thoughts, hope you get something out of it.

It doesn't matter what you do , just ACT NOW! Have fun with the method you use.
Watch closely your expenses and you'll be fine.

Treat it like a case study.
When I try a new method, i keep notes of all the feedback i get.
Then you can figure out what works and then focus on that and keep going until you have your own methods that work.

Easiest place to start is micro-niche sites and Adsense, for sure. It's hard to mess that up. I'tll help you generate enough money to start playing with other ideas too.
