Overwhelmed with backlinks. Confused as hell...

I've created a few emd sites and I've outsourced a site or 2 in the past 2 years.

On 1 sites it's a authority site. Little search traffic for the keywords, but I'm getting traffic.

I have not built any backlinks at all and for a few keywords I'm ranking on the first page.

For 1 keyword in paticular I'm ranked #8 or so and I decided to build some profile links to the page.

I did 100 links and it pushed me to the second page. I'm now ranked #12.

I'm currently outsourcing form profile backlinks to my emd domains and this guy is building 100 links for me.

No diversity. Same name, email etc... As 1 profile to build them all.

I have read that I need to make multiple profile to make it look natural.

How is this guy building with 1 profile and pushing my site up and the ones I built are pushing me down?

no diversity = google's backlash sooner of later.

If you're really serious, mix it up.

- get links from different platforums (bookmarks, web2's, profiles, blogs, wikis)
- dont use the same name , thats a MASSIVE footprint and an invitation to get dumped by G
- only profile links? they won't even get indexed 90% of the time, unless u sb blast them.

So what could be the cheapest way to get variety of backlinks?
