Overwhelmed newbie looking for advice

Start by learning Keyword Research. It opens up so many different ways of earning online.

Weight loss is a purest evergreen niche which means there are guys playing who have budgets like $100,000+ a month. It's super difficult niche + it's saturated as well.. which means if you don't have enough money or backlinking power your site won't see the first page. There are rare situations when it can happen, but as I said it's rare. Obviously it depends on your weight loss keywords as well.. there are easier keywords that you can use and there are keywords that get millions of searches and are super difficult. I'm not saying keep away from weight loss niche, but if you are a beginner and you are not sure what you are doing.. don't go there or you will lose time and money. I know people who have done and I have personally done weight loss and I can say nothing is impossible, but you need good amount of money to compete with those big guys.
Got you now. So over saturation is not a much of a problem as competition would be? Forgive my n00bish question: How would you know that particular niche is expensive to tap in?

Well, if you read my post correctly then you might have noticed that I said I have been in that niche too and that I know people who are in that niche and they have told me how much it costs.

Sorry if you understood me in such way. What I meant was, how would one know that the niche he have chosen is expensive to run and full of competition? I no way I was questioning your answer.

Type 'method' into the search bar. That will bring up loads of methods. Some simple. Some more advanced. Pick a relatively simple one. And do it. Every method needs a little tweaking. But u have to do something to make money.

Knowledge without action is useless

Sounds like you don't even know what your goal is. First figure out what you want to do and what you plan to achieve. For instance, if you want to earn money working with some affiliate program you should work in that direction. Choose a niche you are comfortable with and then start looking for methods. Do not start with something complicated. Keep it simple and you will get to it further along.

Sorry about that.. Well, I think obvious thing to check is Adwords competition. You can get it directly from Adwords or there are all kinds of tools that show it. Then check your keywords CPC and then how many advertisers are advertising at the moment. You can find that information from Semrush or Spyfu. Soo, high search count + high CPC = expensive niche. It shows that people are willing to pay lots of money to get people to their websites.. also it means there are people in organic serps who are competing to get some of that Adsense money or CPA money (you can check CPA networks too.. if product pays well then it's probably difficult/expensive niche)

I'm new here too, and I agree, the info is overwhelming. In spite of the years I've been online and involved with computers, etc, there are plenty of terms here that I have to go look up. Hell, I just today learned about sitemaps and I've known how to create webpages for years. They don't teach kids about rankings and search engines, I guess, because I learned in high school and community college. I never learned how to make a profit though.

My suggestion follows that of all these vets. Find something that seems doable and try it. I found one in another thread that looks doable, and think, if it works, you can always make three or four of them. My goal is to MAKE money. I won't even give a dollar amount for the near near future. I fully expect to always have to work a regular job, but I want to learn enough from these folks to get to where I can make $100 a day. That's what my labor is worth at my day job. I'd be perfectly grateful to cap out at that amount, but I'm also a greedy bastard. For now, seeing SOMETHING coming in is worth it.

Here's the thread I found today. I'm trying this one, sometime this week. My fiancee is huge into fashion and clothes, so I have some female help.

wwwXblackhatworldXcom/blackhat-seo/blogging/662496-100-working-method-made-300-my-1st-monthXhtml Sorry the URL is weird. They don't let us noobs post links for a while..but since I'm linking to BHW, I'm hoping that this is okay.

The biggest roadblock is getting Amazon to let you. They seem to want an existing site with existing traffic.

I also created a fitness blog today, with the intention of pushing supplements and diet stuff from clickbank and also joining an affiliate program from my favorite bodybuilding site.

im a noob at IM too, but one thing i did learn was that google keyword tool is meant to be used with adsense, find alternatives to that so called keywrd tool... its not as helpful as you might think or made to believe, and good luck. and big thanks to everyone for words of encouragement and advice. God bless
p.s. for the members that are used to using abreviations, please please spell the words so i and other newbies can see what they are. exeption: seo. lol. thanks again guys for the lightbulb at the start/middle/ and end of the tunnel.

Gather a list of potential methods. Decide on the best one for you to try. Stick to that ONE method until it succeeds or fails. Don't start any other methods, just stick to that one. One method is MORE than enough and it will be hard enough as it is bc of everything you have to learn.

^ This is called working smarter and it is a principle you need to follow. And we all know the quote "As to the methods there may be a million and then some, but principles are few. The man who grasps principles can successfully select his own methods. The man who tries methods, ignoring principles, is sure to have trouble." Good luck!

Find the best method you have come across that still works and do it! Shut off the BHW tabs till u finish it....once you finish decide if you want to move onto another method or dig deep into the method/niche you are in....
