I wonder if any one on here can help me... Someone recently contacted me about buying 2 pages from me and offered payment via Paypal or bank transfer.

I hate paypal and the fact people can call the money back and I've just had bad experiences with people in general through it.

Can the same thing happen via bank transfer from Greece to England? Do people have a certain amount of time to recall the money or anything like that?

Basically, is there anything that could go wrong on my end?

With the bank transfer, you are safe.send him a paper to sign about the sale and you will be ok.

if the wire is done with an IBAN code, then it's 100% safe, without it, the sender has 3 days to "change his mind"

in the 14 years that i have been getting wires from all over the world i have never had a problem.

he can, but not as easy as paypal
banks are not crazy like paypal to refund for no reason
if the payee be some nigerian scammer and the scammer has not withdrawn money yet may be the bank help you in getting your money back

If you are not a complete scammer there is no risk.Else he has 6 weeks time when claiming unauthorized payment. But it is way more difficult than at paypal

Thanks for the replies, I have never done a deal with anyone outside of a site before (i.e Ebay..) and just wanted to check that when I deliver the pages there's no way the person can decide to say he "hasn't received them" or any of the other classics.

Nope - once its done its gone for good! - But, you should use something like escrow to get that sort of business going.
