Overoptimization issue?

I have few websites, where Google de-ranked the homepage for main keyword and is ranking a sub-page of that particular website, but at significantly low position. All of the websites are EMDs and have exact anchor text approximately around 10%.

Case 1:
Food blog with recipes
Homepage not ranking
Specific recipe (sub-page) ranking #118

Case 2:
Food blog with recipes
Homepage not ranking
Specific recipe (sub-page) ranking #60

Case 3:
Song lyrics website
Homepage not ranking
Specific category (sub-page) ranking #82

Do you think they are overoptimized? I have also other websites with same approach, but they are doing fine, some of them ranking #1.

Any ideas how to recover the above mentioned cases?

Not over optimized.

For this Keywords your related post sub page got ranked right ?

Yes, but originally the homepage was ranking fot the keyword e.g. #8 and now the homepage is not ranking, but the sub-page is, but somewhere low. Same in all three cases presented above.

Ok, so let say that anchors are a bit overoptimized. Given that the domains are EMDs it does not make sense to build more links with naked URL either. Would you, in this case, build more generic links like "click here", "web", "website", "blog", "more info" ?

Yes, build more diversified links, it would be fine then.

Yea that is your article power you write good quality article and optimize the page well so the KW ranking for that pages..So that is not over optimization.
Do some link building for that pages so it can push up in SERP.
