Happened to me as well with only the sites that got some SAPE links pointed to them. Damn
 
From my opinion it seems like the serps has been a bit shaky in the past weeks, a good recommendation would be to generate more traffic and keep the linkbuilding going. Pbns, web2.0s, press release, guest post and all the good stuff.
 
Please check your sites backlinks. Your competitor could do negative SEO
 
That's a bad news mate! Don't know what is the accurate reason of overnight drop in your ranking but search engine spamming could be a one of it if were posting the low quality links.
 
Have you indexed all the links what you created for your site,start social sharing and the most important into that G+ contributions.

This has been an ongoing update. I believe it is most likely a core algo update, but it could be something more. A lot of people have woke up to sudden drops. In what may be an attempt to mask the update there has also been a MASS deindexing of many paid PBN networks. And some claim some sape networks have been hit as well. Penguin is also coming within a month or so. Just hold on and try to survive until 2016.
 
check if you rank #1 for your unique domain name for ex, domain mydomainxx.com google kw:mydomainxx and you should be #1, if not ..... penalty.
 
Got almost all of the keywords back on #1-#3 where they belong, some were nowhere to be seen for a month.
 
I guess Google has changed their algorithms a little bit. Some of my projects had drops in rankings on October 15-22 while other had serious increase in rankings.111.JPG
