I think you should try evergeen niche, viz Health, Dating, Weight loose and Making money.
As some of the guys posted above said... any niche can make you money!
It depends on the new angle your bring to the market, what VALUE do you bring? If you're just getting $5 articles and throw some shitty links... you'd probably be better off.
For new, emerging niches, look at trends, and i want to finish this post with a story:
One dude in my country, saw the avalanche of groupon like sites and created an aggregator... People flocked to his site and they all were telling about it to one another... Guess how much he sold the website in 1 or 2 years? ~$250k.... He was making like 10 grand a month from affiliate commissions!!!
