Over optimization update being reversed?

Nothing seen to happen....but my site dropped 50k ranking from past three months and now just gain ranking and dropping....Just cant get what is happening.....!
Not sure. Serp Buddy is giving me a false reading for one of my MNS unfortunately, and saying its entered the SERPs at #22... pretty sure it hasn't! One of my MNS is gone from #10 to #9 within the past hour. Outside of that, no changes. I thought my money site was improving; false alarm. The homepage and an innerpage have been massively penalised. Strangely, other innerpages that haven't been penalised and have gained authority/rankings since.
Not much change here yet, results are still looking piss poor as ever. One of my keywords has a #1 ranking site that was an expired domain (still has the expired domain description) and then it 301's to another site (related to the keyword) but it's actual page is nowhere in the top 50.
If Google is too stubborn to win against blackhat, it's inevitably going to lose this war. You would think they had things right where they wanted? They had us paying to create highly optimized content that otherwise wouldn't have existed for millions of niches and ranking it on first page, giving visitors exactly what they wanted.
Ya so the old algorithm could be gamed with linkbuilding etc, but that can always be tweaked slightly here and ther.
But to completely flip their search results upside down? This looks like a really bad move, and it's not just us taking noticing. Some major players are starting to surface articles revealing just how horrible this update has made things.

very minor - but I only lost some low ranking longtails anyway.

Google does not know what they are doing.
If they really wanted to block spam, they should focus on spam links and devalue those sites.
For example, if Google wanted to beat Xrumer, they only had to devalue all forum profile links.
It really is not that hard.
Google does not understand how to do these sort of stuff properly because they have coders working for them.
Coders RARELY have common sense when it comes to business.
An example of this is Facebook because Mark Zuckerberg literally has BLOCKED people from communicating with each other and meeting NEW people, which was the whole point in the beginning.

I don't think this newest tweek to the algo is going to last long. There's been too much uproar about it already and it's only been 24hrs or so. Unfortunately for me, my sites did significantly better throughout this and I had my second highest adsense earning day ever today. Maybe that's why I don't expect it to last lol.
Some sites are definitely coming back. I'm trying to understand if this is the "anchor over optimization" or "on page over optimization" penalty. Not sure yet. Or maybe a mix of both? Anyone any insights one this one? We could post updates on tweaks here and there, see how it works out and learn how to beat this horrible Penguin.

Some have come back but most haven't, the ones that stayed are mostly sites not that are in local indexes not google.com. My big sites never got affected so I am lucky there. Funny thing is my bing traffic has nearly doubled on most of my sites!
