I am currently doing some seo for a client and have noticed that the website has over 300,000 internal links in Webmaster tools the actual website has around 1,500 product pages.
The site was sandboxed by google a couple of years ago but has since returned to the serps since I began my work. The site is not ranking how it should be for its keywords but is ranking for the company name.
Is it possible that google has penalised the site for having so many internal links or is this normal for an e-commerce website?
