Hey Fellow BHs,

I am getting a ton of clicks from twitter but I just can't seem to convert them into anything. I've tried a couple of CPA offers from Neverblue but still can't get a conversion. I've also tried using CPA Lead's gateway on a movie site, still nothing.

I am thinking of redirecting to a Clickbank offer.

Does anyone have any experience with converting twitter traffic?

Any advice would be like manna from the proverbial:)

Thanks a bunch,

T10

maybe most of them come from bots and those crazy twitter sites that crawl the links. check your logs, maybe it's all junk. if it's not give them some iphone offers or some generic stuff like that.

:( Looks like you are right Spazzy. Over 90% of the clicks are recorded as direct and according to Hootsuite, direct clicks are defined as follows:

"Direct Clicks are from sources that have no referral data. Examples include: typing the ow.ly url directly into the browser, desktop email software, chat applications, mobile applications, SMS messages, and more...."

What a bummer! I knew it couldn't be this easy...

Thanks Spazzy.

Twitter users don't buy anything. The only way you're going to squeeze money out of a handful of them is by a) becoming an authority figure on some topic and leading them to your blog and hope they click on something or b) You're Dell Computers. Ever wonder why Twitter itself has never put ads on its site? Its demographics like to chat and shoot the breeze but don't buy anything. So your results aren't surprising.

Thanks guys but I am going to concentrate on more effective traffic strategies. I was hoping that twitter would live up to at least half the hype but alas.

Twitter can be very profitable, but you really need to have a huge following. If you've got less than 100,000 followers across all of the accounts you have, you're not going to make decent money. 1M+ is better. That's not that hard to do - 1000 accounts with 1000 followers each and you should be able to quit your day job. Just understand that if you're not doing things on a big scale, you won't get anywhere with Twitter.

Twitter is more fluff than anything. Tons of marketers are trying to earn money with Twitter, but has yet to find a formula. Sure, there are a lot of people saying they are earning serious dollars with Twitter, but they are only lying. You'll do a lot better with Facebook.

yes. Twitter give u only Bot traffic nothing convert . I'm use twitter for only CTR

Ya I haven't found twitter to be anything exceptional yet. I'm still going to use it for some my SEO strategy but it seems like every user is just another affiliate!

Even if you have 100000 followers, it doesn't mean that many of them even read your tweets. It also depends on the time of day you send stuff out to the timeline. If you can create 10 accounts with 100K followers each, you might be able to generate something positive.

Great advice and thanks a bunch for it, but how long would getting 100K followers across 10 accounts take me? I am wondering if the time and effort needed to achieve this is better being expended elsewhere...

....says the newbie with 5 posts :). I've made six figures with Twitter over the last several months. Once again, if you do things on a large scale, make your profiles and tweets believable, post tweets (and links) relevant to your followers' interests, build a highly targeted list of followers, send believable DMs, and automate everything, you can and will make money. If you fail on any of these counts, your whole campaign will fail. Yes, there are tons of bots, fake accounts, and marketers on Twitter. Mixed in with them are the 60.3 million unique, real, human monthly visitors to Twitter (that was November's number).

Making money on Twitter takes more than just throwing up a few tweets, getting frustrated, and coming here to post about how all people who make money from Twitter are liars. It used to be easy - it's not any more. But it is very possible.

Social Media traffic is shit in general. Any kind of search traffic will convert the best! Even if that search traffic is people searching videos on youtube or any site with a search box!

I think your comment and your signature line are a crackup when taken as a whole... "social media traffic is shit" then a sig line that says "free twitter ebook earn $50 a day" lols

Remember the time when you had only 5 posts ? :D There may be, and I say may be, someone making a decent living on Twitter when it was easy to build a huge following (500,000 plus). But today it would take over 10 years to build such a following due to all of Twitter restrictions. You'll do better with traffic from PPC's and media buys.

Maybe you can try with linkbucks.com.
You'll get $1/2000 clicks. So, alltough it's a bot, (maybe) will calculate as click.

Thought the same too...

Dude if your getting that type of clicks then just do RevTwt. You can tweet out a message and how many times its clicked on goes towards what you get paid. They have .15-.25 click. You will make bank if your getting those type of clicks. They pay to paypal too so that is great.

Revtwt talks a good game, but the reality is that they fail to pay lots of people, claiming TOS violations that you have no control over (i.e. bots running around Twitter clicking on random links, which happens all the time). Basically, if you earn more than they want to pay, you won't get paid.

Just be careful, that's all I'm saying.
