Over 1 million FB likes in one month from using another website's name???

started last month and already has over 1 million FB likes!

The page is using the name "WorldStar Hiphop" but isn't actually the real website. The real website only has 197k likes.

Is doing something like this illegal and/or against FB terms?


Thoughts?

If it has the exact same name, then you might get in trouble. I really can't tell for sure, but if the original owner would report you, maybe he can cause you some troubles. it all depends on WHO CREATED IT FIRST.
 
they must be having other big pages that they are using to generates likes to this website otherwise they may have owners with million subscribers

OK, so apparently I made a big mistake when I made this thread. I should have clarified that the FB page that I posted is NOT MINE and never said it was, but looking back at my first post, I can see how some people could have easily thought I might have been saying that the page is mine.

I only posted it because I was curious as to whether or not the method of using someone else's business/brand name in order to generate likes was something that was illegal (that could get you sued) and/or against FB terms of service and wanted to know what some of you more experienced blackhaters had to say about it.

Sorry for not being clear enough about that.
 
I had the same thoughts with "Tha Harlem Shake". They had over a million likes within such a short period of time, and now have lost at least half now:

See all the fans are from Chicago IL that's every single popular page have that.
 
how did they do that?!
it's amazing, I don't think you can get that number just because you had some big pages before!!
I'm sure they are doing something else!!

I have 6 friends who like that page, who are from Florida, so no. Also clicking random people who commented shows every possible state in the US, so how did you come up with the Chicago thing?
Also don't think they're purchased, maybe just promoted to the right audience.
