outsourcing web design and seo questions

Alright so I want to keep this short and to the point.

I'm in USA and i found some outsourcing companies on elance, they are from India, they are slow in responding on Skype, hard to get a hold of especially when I need quick quotes.

So my question is where can I find quality seo and web design outsourcing companies? Ones that can give more of a prompt answer in 24 hours and can do white hat Seo. I believe I will outsource and resell some services in this forum for seo which is great but I'm having an issue with web designers.

Also if I'm selling an outsourced companies design to a client, how would I design a portfolio that is real? Or should I make a fake portfolio? PDF? Or web based?

Any tips would be great as well. I'm looking for flat ui and responsive web designers.

Am i being too picky? I just want a quality business.

Honestly dude stay away from both of those sites and I hate to be stereotypical but I've had nothing but bad experiences when dealing with people from there. I tend too look around BHW in the freelancer section, look for reputable people that are known for quality services. If you need someone on the fly, I may be able to help you.

Interesting. See the people on elance seem slow and never give me a strong portfolio. they only give me "links" of work they have accomplished.


So if I'm a reseller of outsourcing work, how would I go about making a portfolio? It seems like a portfolio is the deal breaker for any company and a resume. I never understood why a resume was needed to be hired as a consulting contractual basis.

Should I make a portfolio with fake or real work?

A portfolio with pictures, titles, and links to the actual website(with a footer link on their page pointing to your companies site) is always the best way to lock in clients. I sent you a PM but add me up on Skype.

Usually on Elance and Odesk people are looking for low end workers. I do work on both, and loose a lot to hire the (insert nationality of choice) for 2.00 a hour. But good services are no longer cheap. I would say keep looking both here and there, look for folks with good test scores if they are new, or lots of feedback otherwise.

Then setup a time to Skype for an interview. This is just liking hiring someone to work in your office, your going to go through a lot of resumes to get 1 or 2 you like. Personally when I hire on there, I prefer to search for candidates and invite them. I just had a company do that for me, much easier to weed out some of the low hanging apples that way.

After that, trial run time -- here are 1 or 2 very small projects, lets see what happens. If they produce they get more, otherwise nothing ever again!
