Outsource Vs. Do it yourself

Hi All,

As a newbie to SEO, I am asking myself the following question and would much appreciate some input from you guys:

Is it better to learn software tools like xrumer, SEnuke X and scrapebox and build my own backlinks or is it better to outsource to various drip feed, link wheel and all the other outsourcing services available.

The answer maybe a mix of both but your input woud be invaluable to me.

Get scrapebox urself and go to fiverr and outsource senuke nd xrumer
 
It really depends on how many sites you have and how much work you are willing to put into it. Software is great if you can learn it and use it the right way. If it's not used the right way it will really hurt your rankings. I suggest if you are starting out to just outsource it. Senuke along is around 150 per month. You can build profile links a lot cheaper by outsourcing it. If you have a lot of sites that buying the software is the cheaper route. It all depends on your current situation.
 
Since I've made profit from my websites, I start to outsource for the content and backlinking jobs.
My advice Outsource only if your project get bigger.
 
Initially, i thought i could do it all. However, i find that i working too long hours and doing things that should be outsource. Now, most of my automated and manual link building are done by my staff. I still use these tools and build links myself but mostly for testing purposes.

My advise: Learn how to use the tools first. Once you master these tools and make enough money to outsource, do it. Your time is better spend doing more high value stuff like bringing in more sales or your business to the next level.

Agreed completely. Except for content creation. I would outsource that from scratch
 
It's a delicate balance.
You want to outsource as soon as you have the money to do it.
CEO's if you think about it ....outsource everything... and they still make a ton of money.

That is where you want to get to.
 
Put a value on how much you think your time is worth. If you think that you will spend more time on a project doing it by yourself than it is worth to outsource it then I suggest to outsource it. However, I only suggest that you reinvest what money that you are making from a project so in the beginning try and do as much as you can yourself :)

Thanks, i do outsourced my content writing as well but occasionally i still do some writing. I'm trying out a number of content providers right now and also looking at freelancers for long term projects. Currently using writers from the content authority but i have this feeling i can get better value for money elsewhere. :)

This is great example,I thought exactly the same thing.I used to do everything myself.But came to a conclusion. Everything that needs to be done manually I can outsource from fiver or other places.Manual stuff takes lots of time. My budget is not allowing me to try many services,so I rather purchase software and build more sites and do BL my self. This will save money in the long run. If you get good with it,you can hire someone to do it for you and start offering it as service,and build more links. Your priority is (if low budget) to learn as much as you can,test test test. Build your BL strategy and purchase tools you need,buy one by one,cause it will take some time to get good at what you do.

If you're a newbie, I'd suggest you to do things yourself first and then outsource it so that people can't fool you easily.

Get in the business, make few deals and you'll understand what I am saying. ;)

It always help me to think about it in terms of opportunity cost, or the dangers of me getting bogged down with a simple but tedious task. If you think you can complete it better, faster, or more efficiently than someone else, give it a shot. If you can't, outsource it.
It all boils down to how much you value your time and how much focus you have available.

Imagine someone offered to pay you $___ to complete the same task for the project. Would you turn them down with the argument that it's not enough money, or not worth your time? If so, it's better to outsource. If the answer is "Hell yeah I'd do it for that much! When can I start?", then it may be better to buckle down and do it yourself.

That being said, remember that your #1 enemy, by far, is stagnation! Don't get bogged down and don't give up!
