Hey guys,
My dad has been recently managing a restaurant and golf course and was looking into advertising. They have a website already made and it is okay. I was thinking about making a new website (so I don't risk their current rank) and targeting keywords such as "town golf courses" and "restaurants in town". These keywords, and several others bring in traffic of around 100 a month, which I know isn't a lot but it would help out with local business and probably be more efficient than advertising in expensive newspapers.
In market samurai the competition for the top sites for some of these keywords are decent, but not the best I dont think. They have lots of links to their domain, like 400 000.. but they only have like 16 backlinks to the specific keyword page. They also don't have the keyword in their URL. They are also registered on DMZ and Yahoo. I was wondering how difficult this would be to outrank if I were to make a specific keyword page and fully optimize it towards that. Is it mainly about backlinks to page?
If I were to go about this I would probably be trying to purchase a few hundred links off of fiverr. I was wondering if this is safe, or if I should go about doing it a different way. I was also wondering if it would be okay to link to the real site from some of these pages so that it just acts as a in between "review" sort of page for the restaurant and then they can link right to the real page. Would i need to make the links nofollow to make sure google doesn't see them as a link farm or what precautions should I go about for this?
