Outdoor Shop? Market saturated?

Hey,

so I'm thinking about starting a Outdoor Online Shop. Just because I realy love camping and hiking. So I know what I am selling

I would love to have and manage a outdoor shop but I know that the "outdoor" section is saturated (especially with cheap aliexpress shops). I would start with droppshiping ( not alixexpress) in the beginning just to test the market and look what sells well.

What do you think? Is it worth a try?

PS:I do have some ideas for services that would seperate me from other shops

id would say its saturated i was doing outdoors 3 years ago lol

It's a hard niche. 95% of the first world can buy cheap camping and outdoor gear at any local walmart, canadian tire or big box store and there is no way anyone will wait 4 weeks for their tent to arrive from China. You would need to target people living in third world shithole countries but then they probably don't want to go camping because their life is almost full time camping anyway.

I would suggest a better niche or else specialize in a micro-niche within the main niche.

As I said, it would not be aliexpress droppshiping. I would try to partner with stores that can asure shipping within max 1 week and I would take a look at the products to asure good quality.
The people who like camping won't buy cheap stuff from walmart. They try to get good quality and good service i think.
