Outbound link Redirect

Hi SEO gurus.

May I know the outbound link in a blog post like this, https://www.hostingadvice.com/blog/naipo-helps-soothe-aches-and-pains/

Does it pass link juice and benefit the external site? It went to a redirect page and the button doesn't have the link and I guess it uses ajax.

No it won't. Sole reason they have those redirect links is because they don't want to pass link juice.
 
Yes, indeed, the site has made bans, so now it is not possible to use them.
 
A disallowed link doesn't pass link juice. Check https://www.hostingadvice.com/robots.txt

Google doesn't use robot.txt for noindex directive so those links will be indexed and followed.

https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/93710?hl=en"Important! For the noindex directive to be effective, the page must not be blocked by a robots.txt file. If the page is blocked by a robots.txt file, the crawler will never see the noindex directive, and the page can still appear in search results, for example if other pages link to it."
 
Any link which is added in robot.txt will never pass any link juice even in 301 redirect.

I don't see how the robot.txt can avoid or not pass juice. You can give directives to robots such as going to crawl or not a directory but it stops there. The only thing that exists for this is the no-index tag (not in the robot.txt) and Google just changed the policy on this.

If the Google bot is blocked in robots.txt, it won't even be able to crawl this page and follow the redirection in the first place,
so yes, it can't actually pass any link juice, neither help in any kind of SEO terms

Yes I know, but no one wants to prevent Google from coming to their pages. And I don't see a rule regarding the blog directory in the robot.txt :

hostingadvice.com/wp-admin/
hostingadvice.com/wp-login.php
hostingadvice.com/wp-register.php
hostingadvice.com/external-site/
hostingadvice.com/visit-site/
....

Well, I've seen some websites that actually do that, new google sites for example, and these sites don't pass any actual link juice in fact
idk what's the method used here, but i see no reasons apart from this
