Page A: musing gadget for old people

Page B: musing gadget for small rooms

Page C: musing gadget for ladies

Page D: best plastic musing widget

Page E: What is the best time to use a musing gadget

The keyword with issue is "musing gadget for ladies".

You can see from the image that Page A and B are getting good impression for the keyword than page C. Page B is in a very good position with the keyword. Interestingly, the keyword is not in Page B at all. In page A, a pillar post, the keyword was only used to link to Page C, so as to give page C a boost.

This has been affecting my sites hence I decided to ask here.

Have you experience things like this? How did you resolve? @Finn , @Bloooop , @splishsplash , @Shaunm I crave your expertise.

Sorry for the 'idiotic' keyword I used as example, I couldn't think of any other

Since you didn't provide a sensible keyword it's hard to give you a definite solution. So everything will be based on assumptions and that can go anyway or nowhere.

With that said, my assumption is that the keywords don't have much volume for you to have created multiple pages on the topic. There might not be very many results on google either for the terms. So most likely google believes one article is enough to rank for all the terms. Or they might not fully understand the intent of their users enough for the terms.

Page A, Page B, Page C, and Page D seem like they could be individual articles if the keywords have enough search volume. However, Page E could be included in any of the other articles as a Sub-heading or a FAQ.

I'd consider looking at the keyword using your favorite keyword research tool and looking at what the parent topic is for the terms. Or it could be that you might just need to wait a while until the pages start ranking better and google figures out the context of each page.

Also, double-check the context of the page content, headings, titles using surfer or similar tools. You might also need to remove any internal links for now.
