The tornado cash website specifically isnt working for some reason? Would there be other options?

You could use P2P platforms to sell crypto directly for fiat and then use that fiat through regular bank cards. Another option is linking your crypto to a payment service like PayPal if supported, or using platforms like BitPay to pay invoices or transfer funds. Gift card services that accept crypto are also handy for spending indirectly.

Tornado Cash is still up and running, technically, even with the dev’s situation. If you’re looking for a way to anonymize your crypto transfers between wallets, a mixer is what you need. Basically, it breaks the direct link by mixing your coins with others and sending you back a different set from various addresses. The downside is that you have no clue where those coins are coming from. You could end up with coins that have a shady past, like from a hack or some money laundering operation. That'll get your address flagged and you won’t be able to exchange them later on. Just something to keep in mind.

This will require mandatory verification, as I understand it. And in general, cashing out crypto without KYC can be a bad idea.
