I might plan to make a new Online Shop and was wondering if oscommerce is the right choice? I once had an oscommerce Shop many years ago, but I was wondering if there are better Options nowadays.

    Thanks.

Magento is the most feature-rich solution if you are doing a full-fledged shop, but if it 's just a simple e-shop, it 's too much trouble.

there are many more stable and functional forks of oscommerce like gambio or seo:commerce. Maybe you check them, I prefer gambio as they have some good onpage SEO already implemented and the default theme is quite nice and easy to costumize + all the plugin stuff ;)
