Loved Joaquin Phoenix's speech. He was a no-brainer for Best Lead Male and he has been cleaning up at all the shows.

Happy with Renée Zellweger for Lead Female. I was rooting for Scarlett Johansson but I knew Zellwger would win. She was great in "Judy".

Glad Brad Pitt won Supporting Actor.

Was really hoping Scarlett Johansson would win Best Supporting Female for "Jojo Rabbit". I thought she deserved it. I like Laura Dern but I haven't seen "Marriage Story" yet.

Glad "1917" did not win Best Picture. I liked the film but it just wasn't the kind of movie that had enough layers to be worthy of a Best Picture. A little surprised because it's the kind of "rah rah" period piece the Academy seems to like. I was hoping for "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" but very happy for "Parasite".

100% in favor of the Cinematography award for "1917".

Also glad Joker won Best Original score. I had read about the score and Hildur Guðnadóttir (yes I'm copy/pasting that) and she impressed me so I'm glad she won.

I'm disappointed Brazilian "The Edge of Democracy" didn't win Best Documentary Feature. It really needs to be seen.
