Hi everyone,

I think it would be mutually beneficial to have a skype group where we can bounce ideas around. This was attempted in the past, but is wayyyy out of date. Feel free to leave your skype name here or private message it to me and I will add you to the group.

Please also include a sentence on how you would be good for the group, as we don't want a bunch of leachers!

Thanks,
ScienceGuy

Hey man, I'd love to join.
It'd be great to discuss some ideas and twists. People can also ask me questions about my experience so far, I'm happy to give advice.

I think it might be a good idea to limit how many people are in the group per country / area so we aren't working up agaisnt our friends.

Hey scienceguy,

I'd like to join as well!
I've been doing orm for the last couple months now and have finally been able to acquire an office with some staff.
Always open to hearing new ideas and/or giving advice.
Username on skype is: Dylzilla

I'd really enjoy being part of this group as well. I am only working on orm for a few months now. But I am very eager to learn and to contribute with my own experiences that I have made so far.

I'd very much appreciate an invite to the skype group. I pmed you my skype too :)

kind regards

Hi Felix, can you let me know how you will be able to benefit this group like requested in the first post?

I have added you all. Please make sure to message me and ask that I add you to the group. I can't do it until you add me back.

Feel free to read the BOLD text above if you actually want to be added...

Hi I like to be added. I have been in the IM game since 1998,ran my own ecommerce business for 8 years which I sold in 2008, and work with fortune 500 companies on development, social, SEO/SEM, and onsite search optimization.

Sending you a dm with Skype details.

I am on IM since 2012 and want to share my experiences and ideas. Currently I am doing good with YouTube and CPA
Add me my Skype : Amar.skyp3

Yeah throw me in, I can discuss a few things regarding this topic.

Would love to join! I'm always thinking of new ideas to implement within ORM so I guess that's what good I'd bring the group.

I'd like to be added. I know that I'm new to this forum, but I've an active member on plenty of other IM forums - and am respectively experienced with IM.

As far as ORM goes, I have a business set up (mainly web design based though). I consider myself quite new to the game, but I have a great work ethic and I'm always happy to share and collaborate with other ORM'ers.

Can't PM you due to having <15 post count, but: and**w.p735 replace ** with "re"

Thanks

Thanks scienceguy for reigniting this. I like this idea very much!

I would suggest joiners list topics they are interested in knowing more about and in doing some footwork on finding out more. If we don't have something that interests the group, it will die on the vine.

Here is my top of mind quick and dirty list:

How to scope the size of effort for an ORM project.
Which businesses / organizations / etc. are better prospects.
What tools are best and under what conditions / what problems to address.
What could be a standard offering vs everything custom, perhaps as a low cost "teaser".
Is it better to stay ORM service, or branch out / upsell to SEO, or other services.
Success at (or problems with) using white label services, esp. from BHW.
Growing pains and productivity/process improvements.

I would also like to see some of the successful BHers be recruited to talk on a topic(s) as guest speakers.

BTW, how frequently are we talking about - 1 hour, 1x per week? Keep in mind timezone differences for those outside the US.

Scienceguy, are you looking to run this alone (i.e. communication, set agenda, setup calls, research topics, etc), or expecting some volunteers to help?

Just suggestions or things to consider.

As for me, let's just say, while a noob at ORM/SEO/etc., I've several years as an IT professional on both sides of the table (customer and vendor) and see many parallels in this service business. I think it is still very much a green field, and there is lots of room for many players.

Thanks.

Sorry was out of town. Adding everyone. Avid, I am happy to let any volunteers set up what you mentioned above.
