Orkut - how to make money with it?

there is two ways to go with it

blackhat or whitehat in your case i would suggest the second

wich is create a real community and start delivering value to your members without spamming them with advertising until they like you at this point you can sell whtever you want

so build credibelity thro genuine content and sales will follow

its a long term strategy tho it will take energy and time

When you say about genuine content...

I think in one thing.

I can create a new article in our website and put the first part of it in Orkut community and write something like: " read all article here: LINK"


Another thing I thought is to give CUPOMS to get discount in one product.

People like to pay less.

So, we will have two fronts: GOOD CONTENT and DISCOUNTS.


But.. how to make the community grow?
What can I create to make it bigger?

I think I can try to make my friends participate in it. So.. only with this I can have about 300 people.
After this I need to create a good strategy to make it grow.

Our website is a brazilian one. We are something like AMAZON, but.. in a lower lower lower level, sure.

In orkut somany kids have ownership of BIG communities, You can buy one very cheaply but i heard orkut team last week updated, that community owner can't change the community's name now. So, research about it first if your going to buy any community.

yeah many of communities run by the young people there they dont know what is paypal also!

1- Join other communities on Orkut.
2- Be active in those communities.
3- When people know you, tell them about your community.
4- Offer them freebies (coupons etc)
5- Sell it to them.

P.S- I don't have any experience marketing to people on Orkut. Just my opinion

orkut has a Promotion Option If you have friends ask them to promote

Rightly said. You have to be very active. And once you have your reputation you can throw in the advertising bomb.
