Ok so I have chosen my niche and I'm looking to upload pics to my account. Is it ok for me to upload pics from google images or do they have to be my own pics? I'm just trying to cover my butt here. Thanks for any feedback.

You can upload other people's pictures. If there is any issue Instagram will notify you but the chances of anyone even claiming rights is EXTREMELY low.

You have to be extremely unlucky to have a problem.
I am playing around with one account and I am using images downloaded from google.

No nothing major happens, if you get a claim from Instagram then just start tagging users whoever you get the pic from

But its unlikely you will get any claims

I scrape my content everywhere. But mostly on IG. Never had a problem unless I used content from an account that was owned by a female. (did this in my early days of IG)

Literally nothing at all should happen, especially if you don't claim them as your photos

You can easily get pictures from Google and upload it to your account. People do it all the time and I don't hear anyone saying that they were banned or reprimanded. I guess as long as you don't deliberately upload intellectual properties and call them your own to trick or harm people then you won't have a problem. Even if you use other people's photo Instagram don't mind.

I have never owned any of my images on IG, and never had any problems from it.

Ok thanks guys, my plan was just to upload pics I liked. Its hard to find out who the photographer is on most pics on google so I was unsure if I had to give credit where its due but this clears up all my questions. Thanks again
