Lately I have been seeing impressions and click on one keyword that has a high difficulty increasing slowly, could this mean that it will keep increasing since more people are clicking on my website while searching it?

Yes, Google ranks any webpage like this only.

People are searching for a keyword and clicking on your website and staying for a long period, so Google think that your webpage is fulfilling the users query and users are getting the information from your webpage which they want.

So Google will start ranking your webpage for that keyword.

That's good news, hope for the best.

It happened before with me. After a while, I was ranking 2nd for that keyword... and it contributed to 80% of my website's traffic.

Yes, looks like it, is it a long-tail keyword?
No it isn't it's two words only I'm in the adult niche

I see and what happens if they don't stay long on the website?

Nothing would rank if what you're saying would be true.

If the user don't stay much, then Google don't prefer to rank it.

It happens. Ranking a website in Google contains many factors. But this is also one factor.

If you are ranking on page 1 and at any position, let's say 8th position. And you are getting much clicks rather than 1-7 positions, then your keywords will start ranking at the top.
