Hello all,

I am not sure if I posted this in the right section. If I did not, please forgive me.

I have 2 websites that I have been working on. Website 1 is an amazon affiliate blog. Website 2 is an adult tube site.

Website 1 has been active since February and I have been steady adding content and slowly building links. This website uses an expired domain that has been around since 2014. So far I have received 4 clicks from organic search.

Website 2 has has only been active for 8 days. I've added some content and built 0 links. This website uses a brand new domain that is only 2 months old. This website has received 22 clicks from organic search.

My question is... why is my brand new site receiving more clicks from organic search than my older website? This goes against everything I thought I knew. Some insight would be great. Thanks.

No office mate, But you can't compare an Adult niche traffic with an affiliate blog traffic at such early stage.

The adult site has its own benefits and they rank just for anything, you don't need backlinks :D

There is no comparison and its self-explanatory.

Expired domains with links or without? if with links then how strong are those links? If an expired domain with age has no strong backlinks, then it is similar to a new domain...

As the above guy said, dont compare mainstream with an adult niche. Plus you need to beef up your affiliate site links.

The expired domain had links but not very strong at all.

Ok guys. I guess my mistake was trying to compare 2 totally different websites. I just assumed that the way organic search traffic would form would be similar. Thanks everyone for the insight!

Good to know. Thanks for sharing.

What if you combine the two, adult amazon affiliate?

The organic search may come from search engines other than google. Like Yandex or duckduckgo, adult content may be much easier to rank with some keywords you are not aware of.

Dont compare apples to oranges.

Adult search volume is huge and competition is less.

May be second site is ranking for some keywords.
