Hey all!

I am still deciding if I should go for .com or
org. People seem to be used to.com a lot but .org somehow has a different appeal.

What do you guys think?

New domain? I would analyze the .com and .org domains to check the metrics (DA, PA, backlinls ...) and record the best.
Now if both have the same metrics, it's best to register .com.
If you have both available because you do not register both?

if .com is free then go with .com if not then simply take .org

Thanks, how do I check the metrics? It's a new domain.

If the COM is available, buy it. If competitors in your niche commonly uses ORG, buy both and use COM as a redirect.

If you're expecting any type-in traffic, the majority of people will type in yourbrand.com, so leaving it free only opens the way for squatters.

If you wasting time on this

I wonder how much time you would waste on content

This is my thought exactly. At what point does it become wasting time vs good preparation? That's always seemed hard for me to determine.

.com = .net = .org . .org is usually used for organisations, ngo, etc. . The .com is used for business and, generally speaking, for anything else. Usually, I would take the .com but, if I found an expired .org domain, with nice metrics, I will choose it without thinking too much.

When we talk about SEO, google don't give a shit about domains, it just the content that matter the most but, in users shoes i will choose .com and if .com is free snap it right away PERIOD.

There is a Bit difference between .com or .org as I know, So .com stand for as most famous excitation and .org stand for an organization's domain.

That's normal people like to go with .com but if some there is organization than people like to go with .org extension

Prefer .com as it more commonly used one. .org also sounds good. Focus on the content.

Everyone's going to type .com by default, so that's best.

Unless you can do something clev.er like cyb.org

Then they'll still forget, but it's catchier than looking like you were too poverty to get a .com

I think .com more better than .org because .com always are valuable domain extension. If you decide to sell it in future, I think will get a lot of buyer also as well.

If for me I will take .com .

Just my suggestion. Please don't mind what I say and you can just refer to my suggestion and ignore it if you not agree with this.

Hope this will help you. Good luck! :)

If you are going to launch your personal portfolio / services website or blog than .com is good, because it reflect individual personality well
