.org for an affiliate website

Hey there!

I am building a simple amazon affiliate website and want to understand if a .org domain would be advisable. I am not getting the .com or .net for the keyword. I know that .org is for non-profit organizations but what if the "keyword".org can provide a lot of organic searches?

.TLDR does not have an impact on SEO
.org will rank just as good as any other TLDs

If you if you are speaking about an EMD.org, vs brand.com

Brand will usually always convert better as .com has always been more established than .net .org and any other TLD even tho they are just as OG as .com

The final say
it depends how you are marketing your AMZ site, are you branding yourself or are you just want it for the EMD

for longevity, brand.com would be a better fit, in addition you can expand to similiar kws without looking awkward

e.g nikerunningshoes.org
but your brand is gaylords.com
you can also target nike tennis shoes aswell (not saying u can't if you go with the EMD)

If it was up to me
I will go for the Brand.com or a Brand.net
As opposed to EMDs.tld

seo-wise it will not matter, but if the thedomainyouwant.com and thedomainyouwant.net are already taken and are live websites you will have competition, and people usually trust and remember a .com easier than a .org, all things being equal
